When times are tough and I feel under pressure, I love to turn to my organic Self Love Healing Spray. This special energy mixture helps me to relax, soften my heart and focus on my soul rather than my mind. Since I started my journey in Herbalism and Nutrition in 2015, I experimented a lot with the treasures of Mother Earth. Making potions, elixirs and sprays has been a great treasure for me and helped me on my spiritual journey during one of the toughest times in my life.
I’ve loved body mists and aroma sprays all my life but most of these ready-to-buy-options are synthetic and you find very little about the ingredients.
Lucky for us, crafting your own sprays isn’t hard at all. And while doing it, you can bring your own magic and energy into the process which makes it even more special.
Today, I keep a stock and natural botanical extracts and essential oils in my kitchen and love to blend them with flowers and other plants to create my very own happy potions. I want to invite you to start looking more into the plants, flowers and remedies, Mother Earth offers us and get your hands into crafting your own potions.
So today, I’m sharing the how-to for my favorite Self Love Healing Spray with you. It’s organic, you can use it in a room or on your body to brighten your mood and open your heart. Sounds great? Let’s get started!
Here’s what you’ll need:
- cobalt blue bottle with a mister top, e.g. 4 oz
- 1/2 oz. organic rose petals e.g. for teas
- organic rosemary essential oil
- distilled water
- plain vodka
- a tiny quartz or rose quartz
- 3 bowls
How to craft your own organic Self Love Healing Spray:
Before you begin mixing the spray, set your intention. What do you want to create the Self Love Healing Spray for? How can you best put all your love into crafting it? I recommend creating a space you feel comfy in. Light a candle, put on your favorite music, smudge. Whatever makes you feel happy and full of light.
Let’s start with the base which is the rose essence. Heat some water and put the rose petals into a bowl. Pour over 1 cup of hot water and let rest with a lid on top of the bowl for a minimum of 30 min. Best overnight.
Mix the distilled water with a drop of plain vodka in another bowl. Using distilled water instead of plain filtered water will avoid making stains on textiles. Add a drop of the organic rosemary essential oil to the mix.
Pour the rose essence through a strainer and keep the rose water in a bowl to let it cool down further. By the way, you can actually use the organic rose petals to do a tea, too or a masque for your face, so don’t throw the petals away!
Put the small rose quartz into the cobalt blue bottle and add 2 parts of the rose essence and one part of the distilled water-vodka-rosemary-mix. Close the bottle and roll carefully between your hands to mix the liquids. I like to speak my intention out loud while doing so to empower the effect of the spray.
You’re done and your Self Healing Spray is ready to be used. Enjoy!
